Stephen Roach
Key Note
Stephen Roach is the founder of The Breath and The Clay creative arts organization and host of the Makers & Mystics podcast. He has penned five volumes of poetry, an illustrated children’s book titled Satchel Willoughby & The Realm of Lost Things, a practical guide for artists titled, Five Creativity Killers and How To Avoid Them and most recently, Naming The Animals: An Invitation To Creativity published by Square Halo Books.
Stephen is a multi-instrumentalist with a background in ethnomusicology. His long-time musical project, Songs of Water, composes for film and television and has contributed to the works of recording artists Ricky Skaggs, Josh Garrels, Jonathan and Melissa Helser, John Mark McMillan and many others.
Stephen lives in North Carolina with his wife Sarah and children Evangelyn Belle and Isaac Brighton.
